Update on the registration progress

There is still a small number of practices who have not submitted their CQC registration application within their allocated submission window. If you are one of those practices, you need to submit your application as soon as possible. CQC continue to contact those practices and they also send us updated lists.  When we receive those lists, we will also make contact with you to find out if you are experiencing any particular problems or if you need any help in order to submit your application.

CQC is continuing to receive enquiries from providers asking if their submission application window can be extended. We would like to remind you that it is not possible to change or extend your submission window. The submission windows are a statutory requirement under the Health and Social Care Act (2008) and you should make every effort to submit within them.

If your practice has missed its window, you should submit your registration application as soon as possible. Missing your deadline means that you will lose protection from prosecution if, for some reason, you are unable to register by 1 April 2013. The sooner you get your application submitted to CQC, the more chance you will have of being registered by 1 April 2013.
